What Makes a Superior Hollow Cement Block Mould
A hollow cement block mould must satisfy several demanding requirements simultaneously. It must maintain precise cavity dimensions under repeated vibration. It must release finished blocks cleanly without sticking or dragging. And it must resist the abrasive wear caused by concrete mixes day after day.
Our hollow cement block moulds are manufactured using 42CrMo steel as standard, with tool steel options available for highly abrasive mixes. Each mould undergoes a carburizing heat treatment process that hardens the surface layer to HRC58-62 while preserving core toughness at HRC35-40. This combination delivers wear resistance where it is needed most and impact resistance where it matters.
All internal cavity corners receive a 3-5mm radius. Sharp corners concentrate vibration stress and develop fatigue cracks over time. Radiused corners allow stress to flow around the corner, eliminating this common failure point. Cavity surfaces are CNC machined to Ra 1.6 finish or better, ensuring smooth demolding and reduced wear.
Critical dimensions are held to ±0.1mm tolerance. This precision ensures block size consistency from batch to batch, reduces waste from out-of-spec products, and enables faster laying on site with uniform block dimensions.

Quality Assurance Process
Each hollow cement block mould undergoes multiple quality checks before leaving our factory. Raw material inspection verifies steel grade certification. In-process inspection checks dimensions during machining operations. Heat treatment validation includes hardness testing of both surface and core. Final inspection includes full dimensional measurement, cavity finish verification, and mounting hole alignment. Only moulds that pass all inspections are approved for shipment.



Ordering Process
The ordering process begins when the customer provides four pieces of information: machine brand and model, block size, number of cavities, and daily output target. UNIK then produces a dimensional drawing for customer approval within 48 hours. Once the drawing is approved, production begins. The mould is shipped 20 to 25 days after drawing approval.
