Curb Molds Concrete
Concrete curb molds produce edge restraints, drainage channels, and boundary markers that differ fundamentally from standard block or paver tooling. Curb cavities are longer and narrower-typically 500mm to 1000mm in length-with high length-to-width ratios that create ejection challenges not present with shorter paver cavities. UNIK has manufactured concrete curb molds in Quanzhou, Fujian since 2010, with over 15 years of export experience serving 28 countries. The company produces curb molds for multiple profile types: straight road curbs with sloping faces, barrier curbs with vertical faces for traffic separation, mountable low-profile curbs, drainage curbs with integrated channels, tapered curbs for intersections, and round-top curbs for pedestrian areas.
UNIK curb molds are manufactured from 42CrMo (standard) or Cr12MoV/9CrSi (premium) steel with carburizing heat treatment, achieving surface hardness of HRC59-62 and dimensional tolerance of ±0.3mm on cross-section and ±0.5mm over 1000mm length. Straightness over the full cavity length is held to ≤0.5mm. Expected lifespan ranges from 70,000 to 90,000 cycles for long cavities. Before ordering, customers must provide machine model and vibration table length, as not all machines accept 1000mm moulds. For machines with shorter tables, UNIK produces half-length curbs of 500-600mm. Quality assurance includes raw material verification, in-process dimensional checks, cavity straightness measurement on a surface plate, hardness testing, and mounting hole alignment validation.
UNIK provides four after-sales services for curb mold shipments: a 12-month warranty covering materials and workmanship; spare parts supply including press plates and stripper heads with standard parts shipping within 48 hours; re-machining service restoring worn cavities at approximately 30% of new mold cost, extending service life by 40-60%; and remote technical assistance with 24-hour response and video call troubleshooting for ejection issues and mix adjustments. UNIK does not supply plastic curb molds or stock ready-made molds. Each mold is manufactured to customer order after drawing approval. Lead time is 20-25 days, FOB Xiamen or Quanzhou.
