1. Material & Hardness

The longevity of an interlocking mould is directly tied to its metallurgy. We utilize low-carbon alloy steels (such as Cr12MoV or 16# Manganese) that undergo vacuum carburizing heat treatment. This process creates a wear-resistant surface (HRC 58-62) while maintaining a tough, shock-absorbing core (HRC 35-40)

Standard Steel: Ideal for production runs up to 80,000 cycles.

Premium NM500: Recommended for high-abrasion mixes (e.g., river pebbles or quartz aggregates), pushing longevity toward 120,000 cycles.

2. Cavity & Clearance Specifications

Precision is non-negotiable for interlocking features (knobs, pockets, and rear lips).

Dimensional Tolerance: UNIK machines to ±0.2mm to ensure that every block fits securely with its neighbor. Loose tolerances cause wall failure; tight tolerances create structural stabilit.

Unilateral Clearance: We maintain a specific gap between the presser foot and mould cavity (0.2mm – 0.4mm) to prevent concrete leakage while allowing smooth press cycles

Flatness: Whole board flatness is controlled to ≤ 0.5mm to ensure even wear on the press head
