Key Technical Features

Steel Selection
Made from 42CrMo steel as standard. Tool steel is available for highly abrasive concrete mixes. Material choice is determined by your production conditions, not a one‑size‑fits‑all rule.

Heat Treatment
Carburizing, quenching, and tempering harden the surface to HRC58‑62 while the core remains at HRC35‑40. The hard exterior resists wear from aggregates; the tough core absorbs vibration and prevents cracking.

Precision Machining
Cavities are CNC‑finished to Ra 1.6 or better. All internal corners feature a 3‑5mm radius to eliminate stress points. Critical dimensions are held to ±0.1mm tolerance, ensuring every paver meets specifications.

Expected Lifespan
Under normal production with standard concrete mixes, UNIK molds deliver 80,000–100,000 cycles. That equals roughly 18–24 months for single‑shift operations or 8–12 months for double‑shift plants.

Machine Compatibility

UNIK concrete paver molds are not generic tools. Each mold is engineered to fit a specific machine brand and model, with specifications maintained for most major manufacturers:

European: HESS, MASA, ZENITH, BESSER, Poyatos, Rometa

Asian: TIGER (Japan), Qunfeng, Hengxing, Quangong

American: Columbia, BESSER

For machines not listed, UNIK can produce molds based on customer-supplied drawings, an existing old mold, or detailed photos with measurements.
