What a Concrete Paver Mould Does
A concrete paver mould does four jobs. It shapes the paver-the cavity determines length, width, thickness, and edge profile. It creates the surface-cavity finish transfers directly to the paver face, meaning a smooth mould produces a smooth paver. It forms interlocking features such as curves, angles, or lugs that lock pavers together. And it defines edges-clean edges mean tight joints, while worn edges mean gaps. UNIK moulds do all four jobs well, cycle after cycle.
Types of Concrete Paver Moulds
UNIK manufactures several types of concrete paver moulds. Rectangular moulds produce standard square or rectangular pavers for driveways, walkways, and general paving. Interlocking moulds create curved or angled edges for plazas, slopes, and high-traffic areas. Hexagonal moulds produce six-sided honeycomb pavers for garden paths and decorative patterns. Wave pattern moulds create ocean-wave surfaces for marina developments and waterfront plazas. Cobblestone moulds produce rounded, stone-like pavers for estate entrances and heritage areas. Grass paver moulds feature open cells for parking lots, fire lanes, and erosion control. For architectural projects and special orders, UNIK offers custom moulds based on customer drawings.
Common Paver Sizes
Common paver sizes include 200 by 100 millimeters (8 by 4 inches) in 60 or 80 millimeter thickness for driveways and walkways; 230 by 115 millimeters (9 by 4.5 inches) in 60 or 80 millimeter thickness for traditional brick pavers; 400 by 200 millimeters (16 by 8 inches) in 60 or 80 millimeter thickness for large-format modern paving; 300 by 300 millimeters (12 by 12 inches) in 60 millimeter thickness for square pavers; and 200 by 173 millimeters (8 by 6.9 inches) in 60 millimeter thickness for hexagonal pavers. Custom sizes are available based on customer specifications.
